Property flood resilience (PFR) is a term used to describe measures that reduce the risk of flood damage to your property and if water does enter, speed up recovery and help you move back into our property quicker after flooding. These measures are installed in/on our homes to make them less vulnerable to flooding. When installing them, the aim is to identify the measures that are most appropriate for your property, the type of flooding you face and the need to minimise damage and give you peace of mind.
Domestic Property Flood Resilience
WHAT ARE THE OPTIONS?
The different types of Property Flood Resilience measures include:
RESISTANCE
The ability to make your property flood resistant enables you to stop, or limit the amount of flood water that can enter your property, preventing or reducing the amount of damage that flood water can do to your home. It also gives you added time to implement your flood plan, including getting you, your loved ones, and valuables to a safe place.
Resistance measures include:
- Anti Flood Airbricks
- Airbricks & Vent Covers
- Flood Doors
- Flood Barriers
- Flood Windows
- Non Return Valves
- Sump & Pumps
- Puddle Pumps
- Flood Gates
- Tanking
RECOVERY
Making properties flood resilient means that in the event of flood water entering your property, the recovery time is minimised. This is achieved by utilising and installing products with low water penetration rates. Flood water removal technologies and the relocation of vulnerable services are other examples of steps that can be taken to reduce permanent damage to your home or business, and get you back into the property as quickly as possible.
Recovery measures include:
- Water resilient walls
- Water resilient flooring
- Water resilient kitchens
- Raised electrics / gas
- Raised white goods
- Sump & Pumps
- Relocating valuables

CHOOSING THE RIGHT SOLUTION FOR YOU
The first step is to arrange a survey from a qualified surveyor. We can point you in the right direction. This survey will identify the overall flood risk of your location, and provide a detailed assessment of the best way to make your property more resilient. This may be focusing on resisting the water, accepting the water will get in and thus making it easier to recover from, implementing a sustainable drainage system or a combination of the three.

WHAT HAPPENS THEN?
1. Our customer service team will generate a quote based on the report generated by the Flood Risk Surveyor
2. If you have applied for Government Grant Funding and have been granted the funding, the local authority will need to approve the quote, alternatively if you are funding the project yourself you will discuss the quotation in detail with our customer care team and once happy, we will arrange for a surveyor to visit to take manufacture dimensions, where required.
3. On receipt of approval of our quotation, we can begin manufacture and confirm an installation date once deposit payment has been made to secure the order. In cases where the local authority is making payment, our Customer Care Team can liaise directly with them to arrange this.

We are absolutely delighted with the front door it looks lovely and the flood barriers for the rear doors will now give us confidence and peace of mind to enjoy our home again. On all levels from office staff to on site staff we have had a very positive experience, during what has been a very challenging time for us after the flood.
Mr & Mrs Dainton, Warrington
Just like to say a huge thanks to M3 Floodtec. We would have been flooded out this evening but thanks to your fab product it was all good. Jeepers, came down the drive like a tsunami overwhelmed the industrial drainage after a while then easily breached the doors. Not a drop inside. Thank you, thank you and thank you. Pretty impressive I have to say!
