INDUSTRY CODE OF PRACTICE
CIRIA (Construction Industry Research and Information Association) is a neutral, independent, and not for profit body. CIRIA’S vision is to be a leading enabler and preferred partner for performance improvement, driving collaboration across built environment and construction sectors for the identification, development, and transfer of knowledge.
The Code of Practice has been developed by CIRIA and the BRE (Building Research Establishment) with input from the DEFRA PFR round table, CIWEM, ICE and RICS to create a benchmark for procuring and delivering Property Flood Resilience (PFR).
Supported by: The Environment Agency, Scottish Government, Welsh Government, Department for Infrastructure, Northern Ireland and Aviva.
The Code of Practice features six standards specifying what should be achieved when delivering Property Flood Resilience PFR, with the supporting guidance explaining how a process based on six stages delivers PFR that complies with good practice
M3 Floodtec supports the Code of Practice, and we shape our service delivery around the guidance.
We also support the work of CIWEM (Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management) to design, develop and deliver accredited Property Flood Resilience (PFR) training with a comprehensive audit trail on behalf of the Environment agency.
